There are a few reasons this move would never find its way onto our list of the 20 greatest crossovers ever. One, it wasn’t really a crossover… rather a behind-the-back shake move. And most importantly, it didn’t end in a bucket. Too bad because Manu Ginobili really got Harrison Barnes. He got him good. Barnes did shoot only 9-for-26, but the rook scored 26, had 10 boards and played a whopping 51 minutes. The UNC product was just playing defense a little too aggressively here.

Watch Klay Thompson Light Up the Spurs With 29 Points in a Half

While Klay Thompson going off might not be quite as electrifying as when Stephen Curry decides to go berserk, shooting displays like the one he put on the first half last night are still pretty damn impressive.

Klay racked up a career-high 34 points in the Warriors’ 100-91 victory over the Spurs,with 29 of them coming in the first half (you can see that first half performance below).

After the game Gregg Popovich had this to say about Klay’s performance:

“Klay was unbelievable. A lot of those shots were tough. Some of them were wide open because of mistakes, but other ones were difficult shots, either contested or off balance, but he knocked them down. That’s what the playoffs are about; players have to make shots.”

And later on:

“I thought it was polite of (Curry and Thompson) to at least take turns and not both be on fire on the same night. Maybe the next iteration (of that) will be neither one of them will be hot in Game 3; that’s what I’m hoping.”

After acquiring a new nightmare earlier in the game, courtesy of Carlos Delfino, Kevin Durant dropped five straight points when OKC needed it most. First came a deep three-pointer. And next was this crossover and slam in the lane against four Rocket defenders. Yet the best part of the highlight probably wasn’t the one-handed sledgehammer or the dribble escape. It was Chris Webber.

Will OKC finish this off in Game 5?

Do I think Michael Jordan is jealous of Aubrey? I doubt it. But it wasn’t His Airness who secured the loudest ovation over the weekend at the Jordan Brand Classic. It was Drake. While the players were busy showing out on the court, and doing whatever they could to get out from underneath Jordan’s suffocating shadow, the man who started from the bottom was now here sitting courtside. Then, he took center stage for a concert and brought the house down.

Dirk Nowitzki Scores 25,000th Point

Dirk Nowitzki‘s historic 25,000th NBA point yesterday came as so, so many of the ones before it had come, with a faceup jumper from the wing. With 6:45 to go in the second quarter against the New Orleans Hornets, Dirk squared up on Robin Lopez and buried a J in his face to vault himself into 25,000-point club as it’s 17th member.

Tim Hardaway Jr. Had The Nastiest Highlight Of The NCAA Championship Game

Michigan ran out of steam last night against Louisville, but Tim Hardaway Jr. can at least say he had the best play of the night with this insane dunk. It was one of a handful of plays (Glenn Robinson III‘s half-court alley-oop, Peyton Siva‘s crazy lob finish, Trey Burke‘s “almost” block on the fast break) during the middle of the second half that had us rewinding the DVR. He might’ve gotten the L, but this was the 6-6 junior’s “One Shining Moment.”

Andrew Wiggins & Aaron Gordon Unleash Super Rare Slams In Dunk Contest

Last night in the McDonald’s All-American Games’ Powerade Jam Fest at the University of Chicago’s Ratner Center, future Gator Chris Walker won the dunk contest. But despite taking Ls, Aaron Gordon and Andrew Wiggins put down a number of disgusting slams: a behind-the-back 360, a couple of through-the-legs 360s, and Gordon’s incredible double-up. The popular thing to say would be, “These would’ve won the NBA Dunk Contest!” And while I don’t believe that, they were some of the most impressive dunks I’ve ever seen from a teenager.
