Allen Iverson’s Cousin is The Truth

Josh Pastner and the Memphis Tigers made huge news this morning when it was announced the ultra-talented 6-9 swingman Kuran Iverson (Fishburne (Va.) Military Academy) committed to the program.

How good is A.I.’s cousin? He’s a hybrid athlete who can potentially play every spot on the floor including point-forward for the Tigers. Pastern and his staff beat out Florida, Syracuse, Connecticut, Oklahoma State, and Seton Hall. The knocks against him have been consistency and maturity, but there is no denying that there is massive talent there to be molded.

Check out this video of Kuran that touts his “Magic Johnson-like game” in the title. I’m not sure I’m ready to co-sign that label, especially against some suspect competition, but you can see where the idea comes from.
